Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests to develop accurate diagnoses. Implement evidence-based therapies for these disorders, monitor and adjust treatment plans, and educate patients and families on communication improvement strategies. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans while collaborating with healthcare providers and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings. Work alongside experienced PTs, OTs, nursing staff, physicians, and dietitians to create comprehensive care plans for diverse caseloads including short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools
- Proficient in using therapy equipment
- Proficient in using relevant software
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
