Job Summary

Speech Language Pathologist conducts comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations; develops and implements individualized treatment plans; provides direct therapy in one-on-one or group settings; collaborates with physicians, educators, and families to coordinate care and educate on communication strategies; documents progress and reports for insurance and regulatory compliance; stays current with advances in the field and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings. Preferred qualifications highlight experience with adults, AAC devices, bilingual abilities, and additional certifications in dysphagia or voice therapy.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the United States
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
