Job Summary
Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services for residents in a SNF/long-term care setting. Responsibilities include evaluating swallowing and cognitive deficits, helping residents achieve goals in cognition and swallowing, providing AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive/language disorders, educating residents, caregivers, and other professionals, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, coordinating with other professionals for diagnostic procedures, maintaining accurate billing records and clinical documentation, and ensuring resident safety and confidentiality. Must hold an active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology; in-house rehab available; new graduates welcome; flexible schedules and equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
- SNF/Long term care experience preferred
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
