Job Summary
Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits and develop individualized treatment plans to increase their independence. Provide skilled assessments, implement therapy, and coordinate diagnostic procedures like MBSS and FEES as ordered. Deliver education to residents, caregivers, and other professionals on communication and care goals. Manage clinical documentation, billing records, and family inquiries while ensuring resident safety and confidentiality. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements. This role offers immediate 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and flexible schedules for a Texas-based in-house team serving residents through person-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
Desired Qualifications
- SNF/Long term care experience preferred
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
