Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Possess a valid State Driver's License or ability to plan and provide transportation as required
• •Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• •Must maintain Michigan licensure and CCC-SLP certification throughout employment
• •Certification as a Brain Injury Specialist (offered by Origami after hire)
• •CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami)

• •Regularly required to talk and hear
• •Often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop kneel or crawl

• •Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• •Frequently required to assist in transfers, gait, and mobility training

• •Must be able to effectively contribute to program development and quality improvement through data collection, analysis, and active participation in committees (implied by contributing to program development)
• •Must be able to effectively adhere to schedules, report necessary repairs, request resources, and cover SLP services (implied by adhering to schedules)
• •Must be able to effectively maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information internally and with external partners (implied by maintaining confidentiality)
• •Must be able to effectively proactively address tasks and utilize problem-solving techniques for smooth communication and timely resolutions (implied by proactively addressing tasks)
• •Must be able to effectively model positive behavior to foster a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment (implied by modeling positive behavior)
• •Must be able to effectively adhere to ASHA's code of ethics and State of Michigan regulations while evaluating and treating clients referred by physicians (implied by adhering to code of ethics)
• •Must be able to effectively complete and monitor QuickMar Orders, Quick Reference Sheets, Transition Planners, Focus Clients, and Communication Log for effective and efficient residential communication (implied by completing and monitoring)
• •Must be able to effectively educate the Residential Training Coordinator on speech therapy treatment orders (implied by educating)
• •Must be able to effectively plan and provide transportation as required (implied by ability to plan and provide transportation)
• •Must be able to effectively undergo a background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report check prior to start date (implied by required checks)

Desired Qualifications
