Speech Language Pathologist Full Time or consistent PRN

Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and cognition deficits through individualized sessions and functional assessments. Develop and implement treatment plans with achievable goals, documenting progress weekly and revising plans as needed. Collaborate with nursing staff and families to maximize patient independence, instruct caregivers on therapeutic procedures, and assist with discharge referrals. Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, quality improvement audits, and department meetings while maintaining current knowledge of community resources. Work within a therapist-led organization offering flexible scheduling and consistent caseload opportunities in Assisted Living communities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice
  • Must meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating the supervised experience or meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation
  • Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in geriatric rehabilitation
