Job Summary
Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders; develop and modify treatment plans with specific goals and objectives. Provide outpatient speech therapy services and support Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies in Radiology, with cross-training to support Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) as needed. Re-evaluate patient status, prepare written documentation, ensure accurate billing, and adhere to State Practice Act and departmental policies. Maintain compliance with Orlando Health standards and attend required weekend and holiday rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida
- Current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
- Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings
- LSVT LOUD certification or experience treating patients with Parkinson's disease
