Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) conducts assessments and diagnoses for patients with communication, speech, language, and swallowing disorders resulting from medical conditions. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, utilizing augmentative communication methods, and treating cognitive communication impairments. This role requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Oregon, BLS certification, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Essential skills include teamwork, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, as well as the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Oregon
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of state practice act guidelines and Medicare guidelines
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Prior experience with electronic medical record documentation
- Necessary knowledge and skills to care for the population age groups receiving services
- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organizational and prioritization ability
- Multitasking and time management skills
