Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients and develops the speech/language plan of care across speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing in collaboration with the physician. Implements the therapy plan, selects appropriate treatment activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides ongoing education and discharge instructions, and documents progress. Responsibilities include establishing and evaluating treatment programs, plan of care and discharge plans with patients and families; collaboration with physicians; adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, infection prevention, and attendance in required trainings and meetings. Requires master’s-level education in Speech Pathology, accredited program, and licensure as an SLP; position is full-time in an acute care setting with in-person care in Marietta, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Masters in Speech Pathology
- Accredited Program in Speech Pathology
- SLP - Speech Language Pathologist license
- BLS - Basic Life Support (or ARC-BLS)
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
