Job Summary
Provides intensive speech and language, feeding and/or AAC services and therapy to assigned caseload of students, develops treatment and feeding plans, evaluates and documents progress, collaborates with parents and professionals, and participates in IEPs within a school setting; may substitute as a teacher and assist with medical necessity documentation for AAC devices, with NYSED-licensed SLP and NYSD E/TSSLD/TSHH credentials required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license and current registration as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED)
- Current certification and registration as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) issued by the New York State Education Department
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Word and PowerPoint
