Job Summary
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities by administering specialized tests, developing treatment plans, and instructing patients and families on skill practice. Provide direct therapy under physician direction while documenting evaluations, daily notes, and weekly summaries in compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with rehab therapists and nursing staff to restore communicative efficiency in a sub-acute facility setting while maintaining HIPAA privacy. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology, current state license, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law
- Valid CPR certification
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment
