Job Summary

Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings; administer formal and informal assessments; and analyze diagnostic information to recommend speech-language services. Deliver evidence-based interventions for individual students and groups while collaborating with classroom teachers, EC teams, and non-school agencies to manage communicative disorders. Maintain program records, prepare quarterly reports, and consult with parents and educators to adjust strategies based on student performance. Demonstrate leadership within SLP-PLCs and professional organizations while adhering to North Carolina standards and ethical guidelines. Engage in continuing education to support professional growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders, Speech Language Pathology, or Speech & Hearing Sciences
  • license from The North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
  • North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Speech Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certified
  • valid driver's license
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to perform medium physical work duties consistent with the amount of time spent standing and/or walking, and be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment such as computers, copiers, and scanners
