Job Summary
Evaluate and provide therapy for medically complex pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old with varied diagnoses. Develop and implement effective treatment programs while offering counseling to patients and families regarding test results and establishing treatment goals. Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits in an electronic medical record system. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings with medical staff and the child's educational team. Maintain familiarity with speech, feeding, and cognitive disorders while complying with all regulatory standards in this fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active New York State SLP license
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely
- Ability to lift, pull, carry, bend, crouch, and balance patients from light to heavyweight
- Ability to comply with all regulatory standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Highly flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- ASHA certification
- Second language proficiency
