Speech Language Pathologist

Evaluate patients based on physician referrals and develop functional, goal-based treatment plans with required physician approval. Treat patients according to established plans while supervising therapist assistants and therapy students to carry out care activities per state regulations. Conduct in-services and training for patients, clients, and team members on restorative techniques, and instruct families and nursing staff regarding home programs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in medical records and daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines. Participate in discharge planning and communicate progress and plans to the supervisor and health team. Maintain productivity standards and demonstrate consistent knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
