Job Summary
Provide skilled, medically necessary speech-language pathology services in SNF/Long Term Care settings, including evaluations of swallowing and cognitive deficits, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, AAC implementation, and education for residents, families, and caregivers. Responsibilities include collaboration with other professionals for diagnostic procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered, accurate billing and clinical documentation, ensuring resident safety and confidentiality, and adherence to legal and professional requirements. SLPs will support resident goals to improve cognition or swallowing, coordinate with Restorative Nursing and care staff, and maintain up-to-date clinical practices per current speech therapy standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certification
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
