Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting responsible for prevention, assessment, and remediation of language, speech, voice, and fluency disorders to support students' educational goals. Responsibilities include organizing a school-based program aligned with local goals; serving on curriculum and program development committees; scheduling interventions using various service-delivery models; applying workload management; collaborating with teachers and school psychologists to meet student needs; maintaining program records and preparing reports; adhering to ethical standards and regulations; conducting screenings and formal/informal assessments; presenting data to the IEP Team; providing information on speech, language, and hearing programs; supervising undergraduate interns, paraprofessionals, volunteers, and other professionals as appropriate; planning evidence-based interventions; managing facilities and equipment including assistive technology; promoting effective interpersonal relations with students; performing additional related duties as required; requires a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology with eligibility for North Carolina licensure and CCC eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- Eligible for NC Licensure
- Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence (SEY/CFY available)
