Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a school setting for the 2026-2027 year (1.0 FTE, 8 hours/day, 185 contract days). You will work under SLP supervision to support students with speech-language impairments, assisting with a complete array of services for students whose primary disability involves communication (e.g., autism, cognitive disabilities, developmental delays). Responsibilities include supporting evaluation and intervention activities, helping implement treatment plans, and collaborating with SLPs, teachers, and families to promote students' communication goals. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active SLPA license in Minnesota, and 1+ year SLPA experience, plus ASHA CCC or ability to obtain, with experience serving school-aged children and strong collaborative/communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university
- active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience
- current active Minnesota SLPA license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) or ability to obtain
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams
