Job Summary
Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists to implement individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on improving communication skills in virtual settings. Assist in conducting assessments to identify communication disorders, gather relevant data, and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate records of student progress, treatment plans, and communication with parents and other team members. Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language goals into the overall academic plan. Utilize virtual learning platforms and tools effectively to deliver speech and language services in an online environment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, valid Texas SLPA certification, and 1–2 years of experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution
- Possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) certification in the state of Texas
- Residency in the state of Texas is required
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and the ability to adapt to new technologies is essential
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an SLPA in a school setting or with virtual learning programs is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team of educators and professionals to support the overall success of students
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for the potential of virtual learning to enhance educational experiences
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills preferred
