Job Summary
A certified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays by administering speech therapy services in the home and community. Responsibilities include implementing speech therapy treatment plans with supervision, helping pediatric patients develop communication and feeding/swallowing skills, coaching caregivers to carry over activities, designing home exercise programs, documenting care in an EMR, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in ongoing training and mentorship.
