Job Summary
Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in evaluating and providing therapy for students with speech and/or language disorders, including observations, screenings, and IEP-directed services (in person or virtual per district guidelines). Maintain progress data and records, communicate progress to parents, conduct re-evaluations under supervision, participate in student transitions, and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and district procedures. Maintain Medicaid billing records, stay current in the field, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school-based personnel. Requires a Bachelor's degree in CSD or SLP and Florida licensure as an SLPA; school-based/pediatric experience preferred. Performs other job-related functions as assigned and participates in faculty/meetings."
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited four-year college or university
- Florida Department of Health license for Speech Language Pathology Assistant
