Job Summary
Provides speech-language pathology services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Implements treatment plans and collaborates with educators and parents to support students’ communication skills. Responsibilities include implementing the treatment program or IEPs designed by the supervising SLP, conducting carry-over activities to generalize skills, providing input for ARD meetings, consulting with colleagues/parents, collaborating with teachers to improve student communication skills, managing student behavior, maintaining reports and records, complying with district policies and state laws, tracking services and student achievement, and upholding district safety protocols. Skills involve using standard tests and measurements for communication disorders, coordinating with the ARD process, and maintaining professional relationships with supervisors and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communicative science and disorders
- Texas licensure as Speech-Language Assistant
