Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant provides speech and language therapy to students with special language needs under IEPs; screens students for language difficulties, prepares lesson plans aligned to IEPs with classroom teachers, and serves as a resource on speech and language issues for teachers, parents, and administration; requires Arizona Standard Certification in speech pathology or a state license as a speech and language therapist/pathologist, and 1 year of school-setting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a school setting
- Must possess a valid Arizona Standard Certification issued by the Department of Education in the area of speech pathology OR Must possess a state license issued by the Arizona Department of Health as a speech and language therapist/pathologist
- Clearance 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Card
