Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist sought to support students ages 3–21 with multiple disabilities and complex communication needs in a dynamic special education environment. Responsibilities include conducting speech-language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering direct and consultative SLP services, supporting expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency, voice, pragmatic language, and feeding challenges, and assisting with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. The role involves collaboration with classroom teams, related service providers, and families; participation in IEP meetings; maintaining compliant documentation; applying best practices and emerging AAC technologies; and providing staff training and supervision as needed. Requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, NJ SLP certification and licensure, and a commitment to evidence-based practice within a school-based setting. Preferred: ASHA CCC-SLP, experience with AAC, and CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist certification
- Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology license
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a school-based or special education setting preferred
- Approved Criminal History Review from NJ DOE required
