Job Summary
The Amherst Regional Public School District seeks a full-time speech-language pathologist to provide direct services to secondary students, including assessment, treatment planning, IEP development and reporting, and collaboration with a transdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include delivering speech and language therapy across general education settings and collaboration with service providers, participating in IEP meetings, conducting comprehensive assessments, writing IEPs and progress reports, and handling Medicaid billing documentation. The role requires experience with assistive technologies/AAC, serving diverse student populations, strong teamwork and organizational skills, data-driven program planning, and effective written and oral communication to support inclusion and student outcomes. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferable. Licensure/certification requirements from MA DESE and applicable boards are required.
Required Qualifications
- Speech & Language Pathologist licenses by the applicable oversight boards (Board of Health).
- Current Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification/license as a Speech Language Pathologist, All levels.
- Bilingual speech pathologists (English/Spanish) are highly preferable but not required.
- Experience in a public school setting is highly preferable but not required.
