Job Summary
Conduct full-time, on-site speech-language pathology services for residents with communication, dysphagia, social-pragmatic, and cognitive challenges at a Cameron County, Texas residential care facility. Serve as the subject matter expert for speech, language, swallowing, and related disorders while assessing, diagnosing, and developing therapeutic rehabilitation programs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, train staff, and oversee quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with treatment protocols and resident confidentiality. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with immediate start and month-to-month contract option.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related communicative sciences and disorders field
- Current and unrestricted Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license through TDLR
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality
- Willingness to work on-site with individuals who may have dual diagnoses
- Ability to comply with facility and agency policies
- Compliance with applicable facility and agency health and immunization requirements
- Successful completion of required drug screening, fingerprinting, and background checks
- Completion of all required facility and staffing agency training
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
