Job Summary
Provide home-based speech therapy to patients with communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties due to illness or injury. Conduct patient assessments, document progress, and ensure goals are met while assisting with exercises for fluency, articulation, and breathing. Observe and evaluate swallowing and processing abilities, then educate patients and families on safety practices and self-care. Work within a home health team including RNs, LPNs, and PTs to support the patient's plan of care. Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree, active Indiana SLP license, one year of experience, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of speech therapy experience
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Good clinical judgement
