Job Summary
Conduct assessment and evaluation of patient care needs for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to develop and implement treatment plans. Treat patients to improve communication effectiveness while instructing families and caregivers in therapy participation. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising nurses and physicians. Provide services within state laws and coordinate with the broader health care team. Requires Alabama speech therapy licensure, CPR certification, and weekend rotation availability.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Current driver's license
- Vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
