Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist providing evaluation and instructional services in educational settings. Responsibilities include conducting screenings and child-find procedures for communication, reviewing information from students, families, and professionals to determine eligibility for Special Education in communication, selecting and interpreting evaluation data, planning and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, using diverse service delivery options including coaching families and school personnel, developing intervention materials, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teams. Must maintain reports and records, comply with procedures, communicate effectively, identify related services, and participate in professional development. Travel between schools is required; focus on delivering equitable, efficient educational services and fostering partnerships with families and other professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Speech-Language license issued by Iowa DPH
- Professional Service License in the Area of Speech and Language Pathology or SPR with BOEE (within Iowa Department of Education)
- CFY accepted
