Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist for New Port Richey area schools. Responsible for developing and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders, adhering to safety, security, and regulatory standards. 196 instructional days per year; full-time, benefit-eligible. May combine SLP openings at multiple schools to cover additional days. Requires appropriate Florida licensure/certification and a background screening as part of district requirements. A mentoring path toward CCC-SLP is available; potential additional compensation if teaching an extra period per the district schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or related field
- Enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Speech-Language Pathology, or related field, or acceptance into a Master’s degree program within a year of hire
- Valid and current Florida certification in field, or hold appropriate state license for position
- Mentoring and supervision for CCC-SLP available
