Job Summary
Conduct speech and language screenings using appropriate diagnostic instruments and materials tailored to specific grade-level deficiencies. Deliver general speech correction and lip reading services in remedial classes or general special secondary settings. Interact with handicapped and regular students, staff, parents, and community agencies while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Drive site-to-site daily across Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, and Anza areas to support contracted student services. Requires a Master's degree, CA SLP license, CTC credential, and one year of prior school setting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Knowledge of appropriate diagnostic and screening instruments in the area of speech/language
- Knowledge of appropriate materials to be used with specific deficiencies at the various grade levels
- Knowledge of equipment necessary for speech/language screening
- Ability to interact well with handicapped and regular students
- Ability to interact with staff, parents and community agencies
- Master's or higher degree, including all courses needed to meet requirements for credential
- CA SLP License
- CTC SLP Credential
- BLS
- Site Support / Travel: These positions require the contracted employee to drive site-to-site daily supporting student services. school sites are located in the Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, and Anza areas
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of prior professional Speech Pathologist experience preferred within the school setting
