Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students ages 3–21. Works collaboratively with instructional and Student Services teams to support access to the general education curriculum, develop IEPs, and implement therapy using pull-out, push-in, or inclusive classroom strategies. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, regulatory compliance with Child Find and IDEA, development and monitoring of IEPs, screening, therapy delivery, curriculum integration of communication goals, collaboration with teachers and families, Medicaid billing, and professional development to district staff. Works within a school-year contract framework as outlined by the district and WE A. Updated May 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
- Valid Montana SLP license (or immediate eligibility)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- CCC-SLP certification (preferred)
- Experience with children with disabilities in a school setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with Montana OPI standards, IDEA compliance, and AAC devices (preferred)
