Job Summary
Implement speech-language activities for students as directed by the assigned Speech-Language Pathologist, including identifying and recording correct or incorrect responses. Maintain ongoing communication with the SLP regarding student progress and assist in material preparation. Participate in parent/teacher conferences, staffings, and staff development opportunities as requested. Record and maintain data for local, state, and federal reporting while ensuring confidentiality of all student information. Travel between schools in Cardinal, Davis, Moulton-Udell, and Ottumwa areas to support articulation, language, voice, and fluency services.
Required Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
- experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills
- cooperative teamwork
- excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel between schools/sites served
- Normal, routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking
- above-average levels of activity at times that can't always be anticipated
