Job Summary
Speech-Language Assistant provides articulation, language, voice, and fluency services to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, while Evaluation Assistant conducts student screening and assessment activities under supervision. The roles involve collaboration with the Speech-Language Pathologist, data collection and reporting for LEA/AEA/state/federal requirements, travelling between schools, and participating in staff development and conferences. 181-day contract with seven-hour days, located in Ottumwa, IA.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, cooperative teamwork, and excellent written and verbal communications
- Experience or capacity to perform under guidance in speech-language activities (for Speech-Language Assistant) and screening/assessment activities (for Evaluation Assistant)
