Job Summary
Speech-Language Assistant provides articulation, language, voice and fluency services to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist; implements speech-language activities, identifies and records student responses, maintains communication with the supervising SLP, assists in material preparation, and participates in parent/teacher conferences and staffings. The Evaluation Assistant conducts student screening and assessment activities under supervision, collects data from records, administers/scor es tests and probes, observes students, assists with screening, data collection, and reporting, and supports the core team with documentation and compliance; both roles require effective communication, confidentiality, and travel between schools/sites within Region 3 (Ottumwa, Cardinal, Moulton-Udell, Ottumwa Christian, Seton Catholic).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- ability to travel between schools/sites
- positive interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- excellent written and verbal communication
