Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualised intervention plans. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily school environments, while equipping key adults with skills to support these objectives. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training to staff, maintain accurate documentation, and actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care for young people with complex needs. Work primarily in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote-based provision.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within a paediatric setting
- Experience working with EHCPs and SLT provision in a school setting
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
