Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental and learning needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), then develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments, while actively participating in meetings to ensure coordinated care for young people with complex needs. Provide specialized training to key adults, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and maintain accurate documentation. Primarily work in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote-based delivery.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within a paediatric setting
- Experience working with EHCPs and SLT provision in a school setting
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
