Job Summary
Model exemplary communication practices for students from early intervention through age 22. Administer and interpret formal and informal assessments to diagnose speech, language, and oral motor skills, then schedule evaluations and therapy services through Seamless Services or Special Education Plans. Provide direct therapy for articulation, dysfluency, and phonemic awareness while collaborating with staff, parents, and the medical community to implement accommodations during 504 and Special Education meetings. Train classroom personnel on therapy goals, maintain detailed documentation of progress, and produce quarterly reports. Supervise Certified Speech and Language Therapist Assistants and oversee equipment maintenance. Keep updated on assistive technology and best practices, then travel to meet schedule assignments across the district.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist
- Strong record of work performance in current and previous roles
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints
- Outstanding oral communication and interpersonal skills
- An unrelenting focus on student success, safety and accountability
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student engagement and success
- Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- ASHA Certified Preferred
- Experience working with children in the relevant age group
- Experience in a diverse public school setting
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
