Job Summary
Plan and prepare instruction aligned to state, district, and school curricula, with developmentally and linguistically appropriate learning experiences for ASCEND program students. Demonstrates knowledge of Utah Core Standards, employs diverse instructional strategies to engage learners, supports English language development through reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and utilizes technology and resources to enhance learning. Monitors progress using formative and summative data; collaborates with families, colleagues, and other professionals to promote student growth; adheres to educator standards and state regulations; maintains regular attendance and professional conduct; and participates in decision-making to support school and district goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, or will complete a bachelor degree program prior to the contract start date
- Valid Professional Utah Special Education License and endorsement(s), a valid Associate Utah Special Education License and endorsement(s), a valid Special Education License and endorsement(s) from another state that is transferrable to Utah, or will complete a teaching program prior to the contract start date that will lead to a Professional Utah Special Education License and endorsement(s)
