Job Summary
SpEd Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides consultation or direct service to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Responsibilities include conducting functional behavioral assessments, monitoring and recording data on student behavior, implementing and following data-driven behavioral training protocols, communicating with staff under the direction of a BCBA, and assisting in developing and implementing ABA-based behavioral supports and intervention plans for students with behavior/learning challenges. The role involves modeling behavioral supports for district staff, designing materials using evidence-based methodologies, and providing resources to staff to address student needs while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with teams to improve academic achievement and social competence. Requires strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with PK-21 knowledge and familiarity with behavior theory and ABA principles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician certification (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
