Job Summary
Paraprofessional to support Laradon School in Denver, CO, assisting students with significant support needs (IEP-goal driven) under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals and behavior support plans, crisis intervention techniques, and proactive strategies; providing supervision and engaging students; managing crises per established policies; documenting and communicating with team members; maintaining a respectful, confidential, and positive classroom environment; assisting with transportation as needed; and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive school culture with ongoing training in areas such as Safety Care/ABA and First Aid/CPR.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- One or more years’ experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or emotional/behavioral disorders in an educational or instructional setting, preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, strong communication skills and positive attitude.
