Job Summary
Provide instructional support and assistance to students under supervision of a licensed school professional. Facilitate instructional programs in individual, small, and large group settings; implement accommodations/modifications; supervise students in various settings including lunchroom and field trips; support students with special needs across emotional, self-help, motor, visual, auditory, and life skills in a least restrictive environment; assist with data collection and record-keeping; maintain confidentiality under FERPA; participate in district/in-service activities; perform crossing guard and lunchroom monitor duties as assigned; collaborate with educators and staff to support learning and behavior management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management preferred
- Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required
- CPR and First Aid preferred
- Core District Special Education Paraprofessional training or requirements must be acquired within 36 months of hire
- Basic English, writing and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
