Job Summary
Special Education Para-Educator II to support instructional programs under the supervision of a classroom teacher, assisting with supervision and instruction of special needs students in regular or self-contained classrooms, implementing plans for instruction, monitoring behavior, and providing information to school personnel. Responsibilities include adapting activities and materials, administering basic first aid, assisting with self-care tasks, attending trainings, data collection, communication with staff, implementing IEP-based behavioral plans, maintaining materials and records, supervising students across multiple school settings, delivering individual and group instruction to reinforce objectives and IEP goals, attending meetings and in-service trainings, and performing other related duties. Requires 16+ years old and a high school diploma or equivalent; job is non-contract, hourly rate $17.58, hours per day 5.5.
