Job Summary
Drive a SPED-approved vehicle safely to transport students daily between homes, school sites, and field trips while assisting with equipment like wheelchairs and car seats. Oversee student loading and unloading, ensure safety belts are fastened, and maintain order and discipline on board. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues, then manage records including mileage, routing, and time schedules. Notify supervisors of any route delays and report availability status each morning. Work minimum 32 hours weekly with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 1 year experience driving a non-CDL vehicle passenger vehicle
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to work with open calendar
- Ability to work on evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Minimum of 32 hours per week
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business needs
