Job Summary
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher; assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities; support instruction to individuals or small groups; help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays; assist with administration and scoring of objective assessments; supervise students across the school day (lunchroom, bus, playground); contribute to maintaining an orderly classroom and assisting substitute teachers; participate in staff development and faculty events; follow district safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of college coursework
- Ability to instruct reading, writing, and mathematics
- Experience working with children
