SPED Behavior Teacher

Job Summary
SPED Behavior Teacher responsible for developing/modifying curriculum and preparing lessons to meet behavioral and academic needs of students. Collaborate with ARD committees to develop IEPs, plan and implement effective instructional strategies, and ensure access to general education curriculum. Prepare compliant IEP documents, manage SPED caseload, supervise teacher aides, and coordinate with Behavior Specialists and support staff. Utilize a range of instructional techniques and technology to accommodate diverse learning styles; maintain open communication with parents and staff; ensure a safe classroom environment and adherence to district policies. Requires Texas teaching certification with Special Education endorsement and a Bachelor’s degree; experience via student teaching or approved internship is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for assignments
- Texas Special Education Certification and/or endorsement
