Job Summary
Spectrum Engineering Intern (Summer 2026) at Astranis. Interns join the Regulatory team to develop spectrum resources for Astranis, learn spectrum management, FCC licensing, and ITU roles, and perform RF interference analyses to ensure Spectrum sharing with other systems. The role emphasizes hands-on work on hard problems with opportunities to contribute to hardware/software that could head to space, while collaborating with engineering teams and potentially progressing toward full-time roles. Requirements include completing the 2nd year of a bachelor's in engineering (preferably electrical, space-focused or aeronautical) and an interest in the intersection of legal and engineering; a self-starter mindset and ability to push work forward while asking questions. U.S. citizenship or equivalent status is required. Prior coursework in satellite communications is a bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of 2nd year of bachelor's in engineering
- Interest in the intersection of legal with engineering
- Strong drive to make things happen. Self-starter.
- Able to move work forward while still having some questions!
- Bonus: More years completed in engineering school; class in satellite communications
