The Specimen Technician (SPT I) is a nightshift position responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department, including data entry and specimen handling. Flexibility is essential as demands can vary daily, with requirements for weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of computers
- Ability to learn and understand compliance regulations
- Good organization skills
- Ability to learn specimen types related to tests
Desired Qualifications
- Previous laboratory experience
- Medical background including medical terminology
- Previous hospital laboratory experience
- Experience in a production environment
