Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking, routing, identifying, labeling, and packing them for shipment to testing facilities. Accurately enter patient data and store excess samples while resolving and documenting problem specimens. Meet department activity and production goals with a focus on attention to detail and accurate specimen handling. Work Monday through Friday on the second shift in Wichita, KS.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
- 6 months or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
- 6 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
- 6 months more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
