Job Summary
Specimen Processor role in South Bend, IN. Responsibilities include preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, unpacking and routing specimens to staging areas, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packaging and shipping to testing facilities, data entry of patient information, and ensuring department production goals are met. Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs, comfortable handling biological specimens, strong data-entry and MS Office skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Works in a fast-paced, high-throughput laboratory environment with team collaboration. Schedule includes evenings (4:00pm–12:30am) and rotating Saturdays; comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.
