Job Summary
Specimen Processor II at Labcorp in Columbia, TN, onsite shift 1pm-9:30pm with potential overtime. Responsibilities include preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, data entry of patient information, labeling and packaging specimens for testing, scrubbing requisitions, and performing special services (spinning/freezing/splitting) as needed to meet department goals. Requires attention to detail, ability to work in a team, comfort handling biological specimens, and proficiency with MS Office. Minimum education: High School diploma or GED; preferred healthcare or laboratory experience and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Onsite role with benefits for those scheduled for 20+ hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more medical or patient facing healthcare experience
- 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
